Holy COW!!!!!
I just downloaded the Sprint Connection manager software and connected the 8830 to my Dell laptop. Web pages are loading faster than they do on my home WiFi set up!!!
It looks like the data rates are 564.3kB upload, 184.1 kB download, and signal is 40% at -93dBm.
Phone is USB connected to the laptop so it's charging too! |

FYI, the 8830 works with Cradlepoint CTR350 / PHS300, as well!

Hmmmm....this is related to my other post about signal booster issues. I have a Wilson RV antenna and Signal Boost amp (wilson 811210) installed in my RV. I called Wilson tech support and they are sending me an updated 301143 inductive antenna to use with the 8830.
So, if I understand this correctly, I use the 8830 and the Wilson setup, with the 8830 plugged into the CradlePoint router...this gives me wifi in the whole RV? What's the effective wifi range on the cradlepoint? It only needs to be about 15' or so....
What poweers the cradlepoint? Can it be powered by a 12v in the RV?
This is all new to me so trying to get as much info as possible...

EvDO Rev 0 only -- no BlackBerry device currently supports Rev A. |
