Hey guys. I got my CTU350 router today. Using it on an Alltel UM150. I have two computers trying to access the router. One is idle the other i'm doing some net surfing on nothing too demanding.

My speeds have went from 1000+ down to 600+ down. Anyone know why and if there's anything I can do to fix this? I have the router set to use superG (not sure what it is) and allow g only. Both my computers have g able wireless cards. One computer is like 2 foot from the router the other is maybe 12-15 foot from the router.

Thanks in advance,
-Taylor

I don't know about the Super G setting, you might try to change it.

But I found that if I used WPA 2 security it slowed down a lot. I use WPA AES and it works pretty good.

But I see just a little slow down using the 350. It drops the speed around 100 kbps for me.

I had this problem when I hooked my desktop into my 350-enabled LAN. Turns out my desktop having been starved from Internet for months, once it found a connection, started background-updating like it had the cure for cancer in it.

I know it sounds like simplicity overheated, but, completely shut down all computers but one. If your speed improves, you'll now know why.
