Anything out there yet, other than the Mogul? Anything coming soon?
Some of these other threads look dead... sorry if I should've posted to one of them instead of making a new one. |

| I have not heard any recent news of any phones that will provide EVDO-Rev A support. This would require more juice from the battery, which would result in shorter battery lifes. I think the majority of most smart phone users are more concerned with battery life than Rev O/A compatibility, so it doesn't seem to be very big issue with the phone manufacturers to add Rev-A support. I just don't think the overall demand is there...just my 2 cents. |

I've read on other forums that the Sprint GPS/Rev A ROM for the Mogul has been sucessfully installed on a xv6800 and both features work.
I'd love a VZW Rev A Moto Q with GPS and WiFi. PDA's are just too big.
Update 4/2/08:
CTIA showed Samsung Instinct touch phone having Rev A support and coming to Sprint this June. |

I have REV A on my HTC Sprint Touch now. It's not the official sprint release but it works. |

| My wife bought an HTC touch cruise (unlocked) and is using just the phone, pda and music functions. If she gets a sprint sim card and data plan will she have rev A speeds like with her laptop using a Sprint EX720? |

Here are the Rev A phones currently available from Verizon and Sprint:
Verizon: The LG Dare (supports tethering and works in Cradlepoint routers)
Sprint: Samsung Instinct, HTC Touch Diamond, and HTC Mogul - and ONLY the Mogul supports tethering right now.
Baggins, if the carrier you have your SIM card with supports Rev-A and you are in a Rev-A covered area, I see no reason why your phone wouldn't be able to access Rev-A. |

Laura is using the HTC with her ATT sim. She has a Sprint Rev A card for her laptop so tethering is not important to her. She loves the phone - when she has it! Her first one got stolen (along with a Leica and her backpack) and the new one spent SIX WEEKS getting a warranty repair - (they sent it to France, though we are closer to the factory in Taiwan) - no loaner, no apology or explanation. I wish she had bought from you or from her usual vendor, Dynamism (they had the Cruise on backorder at the time)
Where you buy matters as much as what you buy! I had many, many questions before and after my Sprint card purchases and i was very happy with the responses from your support folks. |

If you have Sprint, a good reason to have "Family Locator" for $5. Track that stuff down, call the cops. _________________ evdo-tips.com |
