Well, ran a test on :
http://reviews.cnet.com/7004-7254_7-0.html

And I was getting about 150Kbps speed. When I download things it seems to stabilize at about 10 KB per second or so on the download speed.

That is a lot slower than I was expecting outside the EVDO network.

What kinda of speeds do you guys see on the download In terms of KB s?

I ran some ping tests from the prompt and was getting 350-400 from sites like google and yahoo

When I download using limewire like 4 files at a time my download speeds vary from 40 to 60 kbps per file until finished. When downloading from Windows Update Center the transfer rate was 115.2 kbps and yes it does flucuate. That is what I see in EVDO usage in my area. Back Haul on the system will slow it down some tho.

Plus if your downloads are at 10 kbps stable then that sounds like 1xRTT speeds not EVDO for sure. Is your card switching between EVDO and 1xRTT at times during the downloads and are mobile at the time also?
