It's around 78 here today. And Alltel's speed through my router is posted here:


It is usually another 100 to 200kbps faster connected straight to the laptop.

Hey Capt, I can't remember, what data device are you using? Aren't you still using a Razr or something? If so that's pretty sweet for tethering.

Here is my tethered BB8130, no external antenna



... and my PC5750 + KR1 + Trucker



My upload is usually around 70-120, so not sure what's going on there.

Yup F34R. I typically see speeds at least twice as fast with my data card vs tethering with my PPC6800 as well. Those differences are well worth the price of admission for using the data card to me.

absolutely ! I doubt my area gets Rev. A, but I still hope for the increased upload that it would bring lol.

I'm happy with what I have now though. Only 3mb DSL would get me to change at this point lol. Well, FIOS, cable, etc.. but whatever lmao.
