Has anyone had success using a Wifi Radio with EVDO? I'm not concerned about the Wifi connection (have a CradlePoint MBR 1000), more about the latency and possible network congestion. I consistently get 1300/450 with pings around 150. Many of the internet feeds I'm interested in are less than 56kbps.

Any thoughts? Will I experience a significant amount of the dreaded 'rebuffering' or lost packets?

I havent used a wifi radio but I used my laptop in my car with the AirCard 595U and streamed radio at 64k with no problem. In the EVDO coverage, once in a while you will get one or two rebuffers. In 1xrtt you can still use 64k but its best to stream with lower bitrate.

The streaming radio sites I used were 1club.fm, di.fm, and a few other independent ones.
