| I'm about 6 miles from my tower and can get rev1 once in a while. Got a Wilson trucker antenna, a SOHO amp and CTR 350 router. My signal has improved about 30 db. But I'm still having a hard time locking onto REV-A. Just got the new set up Thursday, but not impressed for about $750. |

You may need a directional antenna so you isolate your connection to that tower that gives you rev a. Even with the amp, if you lock on to a tower that does not have revA then you will not get rev A. The directional antenna will only connect to an antenna when its in the "gunsight" and will not see offsight towers. Since you are at a fixed based the directional makes more sense than the omni trucker antenna. See the guys at 3Gstore.com here for more advice.

get a directional antenna it only makes sense for your site.
you can point at different towers and find them your self.
get antenna up as high as possible with the correct cable for the length of the run with amp as close to antenna as possible. _________________ www.LaWirelessWeb.com |
