UM150 Dormancy Issues

Hi all. I'm new here but have learned alot.

My question is, has anyone been having problems with the UM150 going into a dormant state and not coming out of it. I have had this card with a CR350 for about a month and when it works, it works great (previosly on dial-up @ 24kbps). I've had this dormancy problem off and on from the beginning. The geniuses at Alltel Tech Support have suggested everything from disabling antivirus/firewall (not a good idea) to re-installing the driver (standard answer to any problem). Re-installing the driver seems to help for awhile but doesn't seem to be a permanant fix. Tried Bysoft Stay Alive, doesn't help.

I am on EVDO with a signal strength in the low -80's on the average, downloads average in the 800's kbps, pings 180 to 400 ms.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having the same issue I think. The UM150 works great on my hubs pc, but today we switched it to mine and bought him a tether package.

When I click a page, sometimes it goes, sometimes it goes part way, and sometimes I have to click it several times to get anywhere. When this happens, it always says it is dormant, even though I gave it something to do.

It says 1xEVDO, I have full signal with -75dBm.

Any help with this?

Having the same issue out here in Tucson. RSSI -75 dBn, PRL40036
Only does it once in a awhile..Once had to disconnect/reconnect. FYI there FAQ's are Pure BS!!!!!!! It talks about buttons that have never been on Quicklink! I have had 3 different cards now and this one seems to use the same Quicklink as the first other than the drivers.... Rolling Eyes
