EV-DO AC8700 Device not found

Hi,

I have a EV-DO AC8700 USB modem purchased recently. It worked fine for a few days and then suddenly throws up the message cannot find device or device not working. The OS is WinXP

The drivers which were earlier seen on the my computer->device manager->ports has disappearread. Reinstalling does not seem to detect the modem.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Does the software for the modem appear in the list when you check Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs?
