EX720 - Which Connection Manager Software to use?

Hello Everyone,

I am having a Novatel EX720 card delivered today and I am not sure which software to install. I searched for an answer but wasn't able to find it Smile

I have a Dell XPS M1710 runnning Vista Ultimate.

Sprint's Download page shows two different versions of the Connection Manager Software that will work with my card.

Should I use SCM_1.10.0023.0 or SCM_3.10.014?

Either will work fine. The 1.x works with any kind of Sprint card. The 3.x is specific to Novatel cards.

Problem with the 1.x version is that it doesn't work if VMWare is installed (even if not using it) and many have problems changing the home agent. If you don't do either, 1.x is fine.

BTW, you can have both installed, but can only use one at a time.

Thank you for the reply. I do not use VMWare but I may want to change the home agent at some point, or at least experiment with it, so I guess I will go with the 3.x version.
