I just did one in Florida....
Are you talking about where it says "server Fl"?? on the lower left?? If so that is indicating the servers location you tested with, not your location and as you can see on the right how far a hop it was as well.
OK on edit I remember now that happened to me as well I ran one test and when I finished and went to run another it showed ME in another state at the start of the test . Now that I don't know. Is that what you meant? |

There's an option for defaulting to any server you select. Obviously your selected setting is for Florida. You can change it if you can find the correct place to click on the page.
You can also click on any of the other icons to test using that server. |

What the OP is saying is that he's in south TX, and the recommended server at speedtest is FL. I've seen speedtest sending me to out of the way servers when my HA wasn't set correctly.
Alexander224, take a look at http://www.evdoforums.com/thread2001.html While it only lists a handful of home agents, you should be able to find one closer to where you live.

| As Jack says on the test results page there is a link in the middle of the results page to "change site preferences here" Then it takes you to the preference page and at the top under Preferred Server make sure it is set to "none" and further to the right click save. it seems at none it defaults me to my current location. Mine is anyway and works fine. |

this has happened to me a few rare times and I think all it boils down to is a hiccup with Speedtest.net is all. No biggie. For the most part it works correctly about 99% of the time lol. Better than a lot of other things. |
