Thanks for looking.

I have Alltel service using KPC680.

Im wanting to purchase a router. I have read about the KR1 and KR2 and the cradlepoint and understand what works and wont work.

I have a desktop, Laptop, PS3, WII and a PDA.

The KPC680 is used in my laptop.

If I purchase a router that will play nice with my aircard

Do I need to have a computer connected to the router or can I set up the router in a spot in my house and connect all my toys to it with out having my laptop tied to the router ?

Thanks for your help

If I were you I would search this forum for reviews and comments on the Cradlepoint MBR1000. Based on the research I did, sounds like it might be just what you need.

Yes, you can place the router anywhere in the house that you wish and provide WIFI network service for your home. You don't have to have anything else plugged into it or have anything else turned on for it to work.

To add shared Internet service to your network, just plug in your EVDO data card and it will provide it.

Then you can connect via WIFI to it, or/and you can plug into the LAN port/s to add any other equipment that you wish to your network.

Depending on the signal strength you may wish to add an external antenna to your data card to get a stronger signal.
