|
|
Greetings Folks,
Been using EVDO for a year now and no issues - hooray!
buuuut....
Now having some problems with my USB 720 running a recently upgraded (aha!) 10.5.2 on the intel macbook.
when i attempt to connect, i get this popup very quickly.
"A modem error occured. Please verify your settings and try again."
I upgraded to Leopard recently. I am not sure if i used the unit from the time i first installed Leopard 10.5.1 (a few weeks ago) and the time I upgraded to 10.5.2. hmmm on that fuzzy data.
WWAN update 1.0 was installed back when i was running 10.4.
rebooted, permissions repaired, scoured evdo forums, and still can't figure it out.
Funny cuz everything works fine on the other 10.5.2 macbook...
Any thoughts on this intriguing matter would be appreciated!
Cheers,
Petey |

1.0.7 is the driver and menu extra version installed with Leopard.
Open the Network Preferences.
Click on the Advanced... button.
With the WWAN button selected you should use Vendor: Novatel and Model: CDMA.
Does that help? |

I would appreciate a solution being posted. I have a 727 and have gotten error messages (i.e., no carrier messages) since upgrading to 10.5.2
Sprint tech support and I have tried using the modem on a windows machine to no avail even after a reset, so it may be a hardware problem.
Thanks |
