What is the proper procedure on a USB modem when computer is powered down? Should it be removed or left in slot? I have been leaving mine in the slot. When I power up the next day, sometimes the device is detected by Alltel, sometimes not. What should I do when it is not detected? Just unplut and replug or power down and unplug and replug? Thanks!

Hmmm...Never had that problem. I would just unplug it when you power down. Then replug, if it will not find service.
