|
|
Might be a dumb question but is there a way to not connect to my local tower and connect to one that is only a few miles farther?
I'm having horrible latency and worse than dialup speeds on my close tower it's about 1/4 mile away get -59 dbm and when I get in my car and drive 4 miles down the road I connect to another tower with -78 dbm and have 100ms latency and rev a speed. I have a wilson amp and antenna that I don't even use but could if I could get on that other tower...
THanks! |

| I'm also trying to solve a long problem which prompts me to think in the same direction. Also, how can you find out existing sprint tower locations? Is there a map on their web site or it is a secret? Their EVDO rev A map shows recent towers and future towers but no existing towers. I notice one tower 5 miles north of my house, another 9 miles NE. I'm not even sure if they are sprint towers. Maybe I need to drive there to test it out. |

I recently switched to a directional antenna but it sure would be nice to see a list of Sprints existing towers so I can map them out and get bearings to see how they are each doing.
antennasearch shows just a single tower listed as a Sprint tower in a 4 mile range, but using a different page (that I cannot remember) I was able to find 2-3 more within 5-6 miles.
Would be great to drive out to each, get GPS coordinates and then plot out some new areas to point at. _________________ --Larry |
