Here is the final run down. I got the Aircard which is $350 with a $150 instant rebate. So, with tax that was $108. Plus the $36 activation fee and $12 to ship the card out next day UPS.
I don't have a Sprint voice plan so they wanted $80 a month. However, I work for a company that got teh 25% discount so that brings my monthly down to 60.
Anyways, should have the card this weekend! Teh woot.
ANYWAYS, I went with the Aircard....
Is the Novatel S620 better?
I just placed it tonight so maybe I can change it if needed....

| I've tested both cards for over a month and the S620 was clearly better. May want to cancel if you get a chance. But the Aircard isn't bad, it's just S620 performs consistently better in tests I've done. |

The 580 has performed well for myself. But YMMV here. What I like about the 580 is the external antenna, vs an intenna of the 620, is better in fringe signal EVDO coverage areas that I have seen. Welcome to the club. _________________ EVDO Addict. |

| I have the S620 and am very satisfied with it's performance. The data rates are great even with 40-60% signal. I haven't tried the 580 but I wouldn't hesitate the Merlin since it has given great performance so far. |

I have the 580 and i tested the s620. i would have the say the 580 gets singal
in areas that the s620 doesn't because of its internal antenna. |

Well, I talked with Sprint and it is to late to cancel it out. However , they said I am allowed to exhcange the card once at a store or mail it in. So, I have the option of exchanging cards at a store. I might do that I am just not sure.
Anywho I am so excited to finally get this |

| trust me when i say the 580 is better and let tell you why. When i bought the s630 i notice one thing speed alittle better then the 580 but i couldn't get a signal at all in my house in san diego. oh, there were mountain in the area. so that would be some of the problem but it wasn't that big of a problem. when i bought the 580 i was able to three bars in area where the s620 was died. So i would have to say, what mean more to you alittle more speed that you won't notice or having signal at all times. i choose the 580 because signal mean more when you paying for a device that will allow you to take the internet on the road. Remember, you are 59 - 80 dollars a month. |
