Was talked into this repeater ( R. Kim ) due to my "rural" location. Using a Kyocera KPC650 in a TopGlobal MB8000 Router. Router and card working fine. Repeater, not a good story. Won't reply to e-mail and phones are disconnected at Maxus Tech. Have 1900 Mhz Yagi pointed at Verizon tower less than 2 miles away. Due to foliage, I believe the best I could do was continue to sweep very slowly until best signal achieved through router. Got into low -70db's but red LED turned on on repeater and signal was all but lost. Manual is in broken English, so "strong signal causing saturation" is cause but no remedy ( cycle power ) but the problem remains. Any idea what happedned to Maxus or ideas on what I might try next ??

I've had this unit installed and "supposedly functional" until I realized that EVDO-Coverage mislead me into believing it was helping. In fact, I was pointing the Yagi SW instead of due East as Verizon suggested. Nothing within range going SW. Yes, I've had it almost a year now basically working with the "Lightning Rod" antenna and a very expensive wall mount ( repeater ). The fact that the light finally changed to red leads me to think it just may work if I could chat with someone who know's this stuff.

Did notice something very weird yesterday while toying with this setup : My cell phone ( Verizon on 800 Mhz ) went 4 bars ( EV ) very briefly while walking into my office ( Where repeater is mounted ). Dropped the call I was on and went back to normal 1-2 bars EV. Anyone out there with Maxus Tech repeater ?
