Need advice on wirelss router/ EVDO set up

Hi All, I want to set up a wireless router in my home. Currently we are using Verizon wireless broadband, it's the only high speed option we have.
We typically get 2 out of 4 bars for signal. We have the USB720 card right now. I was thinking of going with a Verizon Aircard with an external antenna jack (PC5750, KPC680 ?) to (hopefully) increase our signal strength and going with the Linksys WRTG3G-ST router. Current computers are
Desk top: Sony Electronics Inc. about 3- 4 years old I think
Vaio Computer
Intel Pentium4 CPU 3.20 GHz
3.19GHz, 512MB RAM

Laptop: Sony VGN-NR260E-W/PDC
Bought at Best Buy last week
Would this be the proper setup for us or is there something better?

The Cradlepoint CTR350 works for me without issue.
