| Does anyone know how to determine where RevA is (or will be) available on Alltel? |

Excellent question Rott....I would love to know the same. I am having a difficult time deciding between sticking with EVDO and moving to DSL. I'll have the option of 1.5mb DSL on April 8. If I knew I could be getting Rev.A Alltel, I'd stay with Alltel. I really like the flexability of EVDO but want the fastest connection I can get.

There's no listing that I've heard of. I seriously doubt there would be an official one until it's officially released. From reading on this forum, it seems to be most prevalent in Michigan.
It would be cool if someone set up something like evdoforum's www.evdomaps.com just for Alltel users. Maybe we could see it that way? I know of one area in Georgia besides the areas in Michigan.
Personally, unless it's just purely a financial decision I'd stick with EVDO, even Rev 0, over a 1.5M DSL connection. The upload on that DSL is probably only 256k which is obviously twice Rev 0 but the portability is what I'd go for. I realize it doesn't mean a thing . . . . just putting in my 2¢ worth. |

OR maybe the people who own/host evdomaps.com are going to have reason to change it and include alltel as a carrier soon.

| there is no way alltell would ever hear from me again if i had DSL access... DSL stomps a mud hole in alltell any day! Only thing alltell could possible get over on DSL is that u can use an air card anywhere... But that doesn't help me at all because i dont really need it "anywhere" just at my home. |

Once Alltel gets Rev.A going in most states, it will actually be as good as DSL. But in your situation, I agree with your statement.
For me (I'm a truck driver) "anywhere" is the name of the game. _________________ GraphicWonders |

| yeah i live in the country like 5-10 miles away from city limits. They just dont wanna give the country broadband =\ So alltel is basically only option besides dial-up. So yeah that "anywhere" is very nice! =P |

Alex, do you have any kind of projected date for this?
If 'mike' does make this happen, please thank him for me please. It would help me greatly knowing the best service area when I stop for the day. _________________ GraphicWonders |
