My V3m RAZR will not stay in EVDO mode. S/W NCR_02.0A.00R

I just upgraded my e815 to a V3m. I had been using my e815 tethered to my macbook flawlessly, but I got tired of having to plug the charger into the side of the data cable so I wanted to upgrade to a RAZR. I purchased a near perfect used V3m. The only problem I have with it is the phone will not stay in EVDO mode. I cannot connect to the internet on it at all. Celltop only works if I am in 1x mode where the "D" shows on the phone. If I am in "EV" mode, Celltop tells me that the "data network is down". As soon as it switches to 1X mode, i can connect to Celltop.

I called *611 and this is the frist time I have been upset with an alltel rep. He was acting like I was dumb and it just made me mad. Basically he said he couldn't help it that the phone wouldn't stay in EV mode. I just wanted him to realize that the 4 other phones in my house all steadily are in EV mode so there is something different with this phone.

He finally told me that maybe I need to flash the phone. Do you think this will help? Is there any other way the phone could be locked out of EVDO mode with a setting?

The S/W version is NCR_02.0A.00R and the PRL is 300031.

I would take it by a store and let them upgrade it. I took mine by and they did a software change that improved my speed. I posted what little I could tell about what they changed a while back.

I have never had a problem with it not connecting to data or Celltop.
