I just bought the Zyxel router for my Aircard 595; been using it for a few months now with no problems. I just used the default wizard to walk me thru...can't seem to get it to go. It's asking me for a username/password, I thought this was my number like 123.456.7890@vzw.net ...not sure about the p/w.

Any idea as to what the settings are for this page? Or what else I need to get it connected?

Thnx

barry,
you picked a great router. Mine has been going strong since Oct.

In the "WAN2" tab from the "WAN" from the side menu, authentication type - CHAP/PAP, try #777 in the number field.

no username necessary

plus, no need to use VZW client. uninstall it

make sure the "nailed up" box is checked and that "WAN2 setup enable"" box is checked

Zyxell Tech Support is great - they were very helpful. 1-800-255-4101

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks, I'm using it right now! I figured it was something simple. I found the evdo watcher download for the 595, was I supposed to lock it? (I did)

PS, the program's here for anyone looking to download (needs www. in front): sierrawireless.com/resources/software/595/0.6.0.58/Telus/WatcherInstaller.exe

How long will the ip stay active? Will it reconnect if it loses its lease?

My plan is to use it in a kiosk...so far, so good!

as long as you have it "nailed up" it will redial - if you need a dns updater, then I suggest dyndns configured to opendns dns server. The zywall 2wg is compatible with dyndns.
