Unless you need the connection log or the accelerator you can avoid even having to install the Sprint software and setup a dial-up network, with the EVDO card as the modem, instead.

Very simple process...
- Install the drivers
- Setup a new dial-up connection.
- - Leave the User Name / Password completely blank.
- - The phone number (for me) was #777 (there are a few others that may work as well).
- Right-click on the new dial-up connection and select properties.
- Set the broadband card as the default device.

Connects / disconnects take a few seconds, literally, and you can launch the connection via batch file by using rasdial commands. Below is my very simple disconnect / connect script - Replace "Sprint" with whatever you named your dial-up connection:

rasdial /disconnect
rasdial Sprint

Hope this helps others avoid issues in the future. Also, same rules apply for Verizon, ATT, and USCellular broadband cards and probably for others as well (these are just the ones I use)... though the access numbers may be different.
