IF I read everything correctly in 3G's review I think I can do this, but had to ask evn though it's a bit extreme.

I can have my primary connection with my Sprint U727 in one of the USB ports and have my Verizon U720 in the second USB port and program a fail over from the Sprint card to the Verizon card ? This would come in handy in areas of no coverage for one or the other. the Network I do side work for is willing to pay for the continued use of the Verizon card if so. They want to make darn sure I have coverage and can get on if needed. Of course I'd have to insure I was in a coverage area for one of them. Can it be done?

yes, but the primary connection has to fail completely before it would switch over, and a drop to 1xrtt is not a failed connection.

in any case, if you notice a drop in speeds, you can always manually switch to see if the other carrier has better performance where you are.

Thanks Alex, that makes since since it would have to fail to failover to the other connection. I guess the easier way wold be to simply use the correct device for the correct coverage in a specific area. The 1000 supports both cards. Glad I decided on the 1000 instead as way too many features I couldn't pass up. Like I had told you I would have gotten the other and wound up getting this one so figured make it a one step process versus two lol. By the way thanks for your help! Tomorrow will be "graduation day" lol and my partner here in the campground has had to live with 1x so he'll sure be happy. he's only about 100' feet away so I don't think with the 1000 he'll have any problems with the signal. if all else failed I'd tuern off the wireless mode and pump it through my pumped up WTR54G, but I really don't think I'll need to.
