I ordered verizon usb727 and external antenna adapter from 3g and it will not plug into device. Maybe a hammer would do it, but reluctant to try that. Anyone else had problem or success with this combo? I mean, I tried some pretty firm pressure and nada. _________________ Stephen Burke |

Assuming you have the right connector, it should slide in easily (too easy in fact - my problem is it wants to fall out).
Did you remove the little rubber plug on the side of the 727?
FWIW, when I got my first antenna, I think I had to scratch my head a few times before I figured out you had to remove the little rubber (square?) plug from the side of the 727 to expose the external antenna input, and I am an engineer!
Of course, I also have trouble programming a VCR

I bought the usb720 and had the same exact problem. You have to make absolutely sure you are have aligned the adapter with the teeeeeeny weeeeeny pin! I was about to give up when I slowed myself down and pulled out the magnify glass. |

Ok, I guess I am qualified to be an engineer! Even after seeing JoeCHecht post, I STILL didn't see the rubber plug, but it was dark in my truck and I didn't actually remove it from router... until this morning.
There it was, magically appeared while I was sleeping.
What the heck is that hole in the bottom that looks like an antenna plug in socket?????????? _________________ Stephen Burke |
