Yesterday, I left my computer on all day, and when I came back to it, I had lost my connection to the internet. The Modem light on the router was yellow instead of green. I could hook the modem directly to my computer and get an internet connection, but if I plug the modem back into the router, I get the yellow light.

I have a um150 usb modem, and it was working great through the router for a couple days. I have 3 lights on the modem too when attached to the router, so it seems to be getting a signal.

I also tried unplugging the router to see if it would reset, but that did not help. When I plugged the modem back in the modem light blinked for about 30 seconds, but then went to yellow.

What does this mean, and is it related to leaving the computer on in a dormant state for a long time? Thanks.

What does the Status->Modem Info page say?
What does it say on the Advanced->Failover page for that modem?

If the connection is up the Advanced->Failover page should say "Established". If it can't connect to the modem it will usually say "Suspended." If it's connecting but then the connection keeps getting dropped it will alternate between "Establishing" and "Established".

You can also check Status->Log to see if there are messages about the WAN going up and down.
