how do you update coverage on a v740

just like the title says

i have a v740

how do you get it to update coverage? does it do it automatically? or is there some special number to dial

also how do you update the firmware on the card? or does it do that automatically as well

like on a cell phone you dial *228

what do you do for a wireless card

Easiest way is to run the VZAccess Software and select Options -> Activate, that will update the PRL (same as dialing *228 on your phone).
