Just set up the router yesterday. Using Verizon 720 USB modem. Every time I try to update Zonealarm I get a message that it is unable to connect. The problem is on a computer running XP Pro and is hardwired to the router. The head scratcher is that another computer that has access wirelessly updates fine. I have a feeling that this is something easy but can't seem to figure it out. I have updated to firmware 1.1 and have not loaded any of Verizon's software. Web surfing and online gaming work fine. Also, can update Spybot S&D without any problems.
Have to leave for a while and will check in later.

Hooked up another computer with CAT 5 and it updates fine. Should add that I use ZA Security Suite. All settings seem to be the same. Still confused.

Thought I would go to MS and see if there were any updates that might help out. Opened up IE (I usually use Firefox) and it wouldn't connect. Went into tools>internet options>connections>LAN settings and it was set to Use proxy server for lan. Changed it to Automatically detect settings and it works now. Must have been something left over as until yesterday I was using Satellite internet.
