I just swapped for a new card because i was told the problem was hardware. now I have a new install of XP running the software off the CD.

problem is before I connect the card gets 1xevdo rev A -79 and 1xrtt -81. when I hit connect the signals drops to -128 and the SCM connects to 1xrtt.
when I set the SCM to evdo only and roaming to auto, it trys to connect to every tower it can reach even roaming towers then i get an error: unable to connect. dial-up networking error #619 has occured. sometimes its error #777 but says the same thing.

I've been using their Aircard 595U and have not have this problem until the past 10 days. I saw good Rev A signal. then click connect, then signal dropped two bars, then I lost the Rev A signal and only getting 1xRTT signal. Nothing has changed on my side and the card has been working well for over 6 months. Tried reboot everything, power cycle the card etc and the problems reproduces itself when their EVDO A network is down. It will stay in 1xRTT for a few hours, then when the Rev A network is up again, the SCM will automatically switch it back to Rev A signal. This happens to me at least 2-3 times daily. Sprint's network is having all sorts of problems like the random blocking of port 80. If you call them, you talk to the level 1 support who knows nothing. All they do is to reset accounts. They have no network knowledge or any ability to get into the network to fix it. I'm having this problem as I'm typing and the computer has been reset 10 times. Very frustrating. We paid $60+ a month for such a lousy connection. My location is in central FL.

Ok..Again it is happening now. Only 1xRTT. My ping time is 999ms, download at 131k and upload at 63k (I think this is the max for 1xRTT). Tried changed the HA, no difference. Tried connect bypassing SCM, no difference. It is the their network problem. The tower sends a REV A carrier but when you are trying to connect using Rev A, the network cuts it off and kicks it to 1xRTT. I read somebody here saying getting the REV A carrier doesn't mean you can get a Rev A connection. The carrier is being sent out by the tower all the time, but making a successful connection on Rev A network is another story.

Ok...Just for the hack of it, I called sprint. They said they are having computer problems now and not even able to verify my account, asking me to call back in 4 hours.

It is frustrating, tier 2 told us they did every thing they could think of to help us. We pay only $15 a month because my wife is an employee. But still it’s not like I will be recommending sprint to any one. We did put a ticket in for an engineer to look at the problem, that’s the best sprint could do.
