Thank you, Maureen! I'd asked Alex about it over on the Escapees' board about a week ago and figured you guys would be testing it soon.
Y'all haven't tested the Moto w755 at all, have you? I've heard it works tethered directly (per Howard Forums) if you choose another Moto phone's VZAM driver (no official W755 driver is listed yet, but supposedly the phone does broadband access per the VZW website).
Since the CTRs (we have the 350) don't need VZAM anyway, it's got me curious.

Bumping my post from a month ago....
Maureen, we're considering the W755 as a replacement for one of our 2 phones (the other phone would be replaced with a Dare which would be our primary tether phone via our CTR-350).
I see that Verizon now pfficially supports Mobile Broadband Connect tethering with the W755. Have you checked to see whether the W755 will work with the CTR-350 (and if it charges when doing so)?
Thanks,
Michelle |

Sanyo Pro 200 working great... All the Sanyo phones pretty much use the same driver/instruction set so I wasn't suprised even though it wasn't officially listed anywhere...
Also tried out a Verizon LG 8350, didn't remember seeing that exact model, but basically again the LGs/chocolate pretty much use the same instruction set.
Very impressed with the quality of this little router and what it can do, just keeps getting better and better with the new firmwares... I love to see something that's not nearly brand new and the company doesn't forget about releasing updates and finding ways to improve something that's already great.[/img] |

I purchased this 3g router even though my usb modem wasn't present on the supported list from cradlepoint.
After 1 month of use all I can say they both work perfect |

The following Verizon phones are NOT "officially supported" by Cradlepoint but I have confirmed that they work with the latest firmware:
LG vx8360 - MBR1000 and CTR500 with 1.5.1 (did NOT work w/ CTR350/PHS300)
Motorola W755 - MBR1000 and CTR500 w/ 1.5.1, CTR350 and PHS300 w/ 2.3
LG EnV2 (vx9100) - - MBR1000 and CTR500 w/ 1.5.1, CTR350 and PHS300 w/ 2.3
Stay tuned for test results for the Verizon LG Versa, Samsung Omnia, Samsung Saga, XV6900, and HTC Touch Pro! |

We have had a lot of good luck getting un-supported Verizon phones to work w/ Cradlepoint routers (see previous posts) but so far all of the Sprint phones we've tried have been unsuccessful (except for the ones that are officially supported, of course).
Finally found one today!
Sprint LG Lotus: MBR1000/CTR500 w/ 1.5.1; CTR350/PHS300 w/ 2.3 |

| I saw on the Cradlepoint website no Alltel phones are listed. Has anyone tried an Alltel phone, namely a RAZR V3m? Thanks |

Anyone know if an LG CU515 would work (AT&T/Cingular, UMTS/HSDPA rather than EVDO)? _________________ AC595, WRT54G3G |

|
|
Thanks Toddc79 for the helpful info about the Sanyo Pro-200.
I wonder if I would be safe getting a Sanyo Pro-700 to use w/ the Cradlepoint PHS300? (is the Pro-700 newr than the 200?)
I noticed that most Sprint phones that are Rev A capable listed in the forum for using with Cradlepoint routers are smartphones. But there are other, non-smartphones that can do this. Sprint has emailed me the list (below) of phones capable of tethering. Some are Rev A non- smartphones, such as the Sanyo Pro-700. I hope this is helpful.
What I am looking for, is to tether a Rev A non-smartphone to the Cradlepoint PHS300. Does anyone have experience in this?
BTW, I think the info re: cost and limits the Sprint person who sent the email below IS INCORRECT. But the tether - list IS CORRECT.
thanks, Dan
