After about 6 months of dependable, troublefree use, my 3G Store supplied MB6800 has failed. I'm using a Verizon AC595 card and the card works fine directly in any of my laptops, but all of a sudden the MB6800 refuses to work with this same card. I've reset, reboot, powered down/up several times and moved the location, with the same failed result. It goes through the initial sequence of flashing LED's and by monitoring the MB6800 via my browser shows that it see's & shows the AC595 card in the Interface status and initially says "connecting" but eventually the solid red light comes on at the 3G status LED and the Interface status says "no card inserted". The wirelss LAN side still works fine. The software is updated, the card is activated & updated and works fine in any PC.
any suggestions?

| I have had a similar problem with this router (among a host of problems). This may sound crazy, but I was able to reestablish a connection by unplugging the router, removing the data card from the router, and then shutting down all computers connected to the router (especially any connected via WiFi). Then reinsert the card and then power on the router (with no computers connected). Wait until the router appears to have established a connection with your wireless provider and then try connecting to the router with one of your computers. Can't say if this will work for you since you may have a different failure, but this has worked for me when the router refuses to connect. Good Luck! |

Jim,
If router is still powering up, you can try the following...
In your manual, there is instructions on how to do a TFTP upload of the firmware. If you need some assistance, give our support department a call so that we can give it a go.
If it is something that we are unable to resolve, you may want to request a warranty replacement directly through the manufacturer; Top Global. _________________ - Victor |

Jim,
Check your e-mail box. I just sent you some detailed instructions that might just give your MB6800 router the breath of life it needs to be revived.
Let me know if there is anything else we can do to help;-) _________________ - Victor |
