Ok can someone help me figure out if this is possible?

I have a kr1 that i am using with sprint u720. I can connect to the internet on 2 wireless laptops, one upstairs , one downstairs and also have a desktop downstairs that my sons xbox 360 is wired to so that he may play xbox live. one laptop runs vista and the other 2 run on xp. My problem that I am having is being able to play xbox live with the wireless adaptor instead of the xbox being hardwired to the kr1 as this is the only way my son is able to play online because the microsoft wireless netork adapter wont establish a connection to the kr1. I was thinking if it is possible to hook up another router that the xbox wireless adapter will recognize to the kr1 and still maintain interenet connection to my pc's at the same time. If this is possible, can someone please provide some info on how to do this. What equipment would i need and how to hook them up to work without probs. We live in the sticks so the only way to get internet is by the sprint u720 evdo. thanks in advance:)

You can hookup a second router, and then connect with the 360 to it, but you run the possibility of having a restrictive NAT setup. You may still be able to connect to Live, you won't be able to enter game lobbies.

My KR1 is connected to a Linksys WRT54G. When I had the 360 connected to the Linksys, I couldn't connect to Live. I installed an open source firmware (DD-WRT) and was able to get through the NAT issue.

The key is to make sure your secondary router is set as a DMZ (De-militarized zone.) Determine what IP your secondary router is using, then in the KR1 settings, enter that IP address for the DMZ and enable it. On the secondary router, you may want to set the 360's IP as the DMZ.

The easier thing is to just hard wire into the KR1. You get better transfers and less chance of a dropped signal.

Don't bother with Microsoft's wireless network adapter....it's got a short list of routers that it's compatible with:
xbox.com/en-US/support/connecttolive/xbox360/homenetworking/equipment.htm
...and EVDO routers aren't on that list.

I tried for a long time to get the fabulous KR2 to work...but no success.

So I returned it and picked up a wireless ethernet router and it worked flawlessly.
I happened to get a Linksys Wireless-G Ethernet Bridge WET54G:
google.com/products/catalog?q=wet54g&btnG=Search+Products&cid=2048848697795117947
...but there's all kinds of wireless bridges out there.

The cool thing is, once you get the bridge setup on your network, it will work with pretty much anything....XBOX 360, original XBOX, PS3, laptop, PC, printer....anything wired.
It's a really good option.

The Microsoft wireless network adapter sounds like a good idea, and if it worked it would be....heck it's attached right to the console and pretty easy to install.
It just doesn't play well with EVDO routers.

Try the wireless bridge route.
It works really well.
