Ok, so I live in the country and am using an aircard 595u...I only get 2 to 3 bars...but i think i can get 4 in some areas around here... Note that im on a mac and the bars only get up to 4 on my program...
I dont know what these amplifiers are or what these antennas are...But im loking for something to improve my connection....(mostly to get some better latency on wow) Im willing to pay up to 90-100 dollars for a device that will improve performance....and it has to work with a mac...please also explain what these do...and how to use them? and if u suggest one for me too..
I bought my card from sprint.com |

Do you know if EVDO Rev A service is available where you live? If your service is only EVDO Rev 0, I'm guessing you won't be happy with WoW performance (at least I'm not). Some general info on the various EVDO standards can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EVDO. Rev A addresses the latency problem (as well as giving a little more download speed and a lot more upload speed).
I have an active WoW account, but don't play much since my provider (Alltel) hasn't rolled out Rev A service yet in my area. I see ~600ms latency most of the time playing WoW on Rev 0. Alltel says they'll probably roll out Rev A to central NC in 6 to 12 months. I'm hopeful that I'll see a dramatic improvement when they do. |
