yes. the mac makes it easy to share any internet source, through any other available connection (ethernet/airport).

much easier than windows.

however... i would not want to use any of my >$150 macs as a router.

the cradlepoint CTR350 is much better at being a router, than any mac

Yeah it works but it's noticeably slower loading pages with 2 or more computers than just one. It might get you through in a pinch or sharing with a friend when you're out somewhere, but I wouldn't suggest it on a permanent basis. The latency and speed is just too slow with multiple machines.
