I keep forgetting it is "Pantech", and my search does not ignore the hyphen I put in. And I need to stop working 60 hour weeks.
Sorry and thanks! |

If you're using the special firmware from 3g that enables the port for std use, will version 2.0 disable that feature?

actually, its enhanced in 2.0.0
you can set it manually, where 1.7.3 only did an auto-scan
and the ability to turn on-off the radio is also back.

| When do you expect v2.0.0 to be publicly available (or at least for 3Gstore customers)? Do you have a more comprehensive list of features? What about support for the Verizon RIM BlackBerry 8830? |

i believe the official firmware is available on cradlepoint site.
my test with verizon BB8830 and beta 1.7.3 worked well,
so i suspect that it would still work fine with firmware 2.0.0 |

I use a 595U and a ctr350 router with firmware version 1.73. It works well in this configuration. Anyone know of any advantages from upgrading to version 2.0? Anyone had any negative effects from upgrading? _________________ EVDO & WB |

I just upgraded to 2.0. I wanted to do this to disable the wireless function. I use the LAN exclusively. No issues yet, but I just now came back online.
wookie,
(disclaimer: I'm no computer geek, but this is what I did)
Set it to LAN. Let it reboot. If it doesn't work. Unplug your router and the CTR. Wait a few seconds, plug in the CTR, give it 30 seconds, and then replug in your router.

Besides the new features, according to CradlePoint, there were numerous fixes and defects that were addressed in the 2.0 release and the techs at 3Gstore.com and CradlePoint recommend this upgrade for all users. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

If anyone is interested, the VERIZON Treo 755p also works with CTR350/PHS300 (not just the Sprint 755p)
Here are speed tests from this morning, attached to CTR350:
