OK, so many posts up here for many products are "help!", or "it doesn't work". We all know that forums are generally used to get help to problems that you are having.
For many of the products that we sell and support, we have "success" threads.
This is one for the CradlePoint MBR1000.
If you have a problem or issue DO NOT post to this thread, post to a different thread (FYI, other posts will be moved or deleted).
If you have a long success story, post it here.
If you have a short one (e.g. "it works great"), go ahead and post that too.
Thank you!

Got my MBR-1000 last nigth. Cranked up my laptop and the router. Didn't take long to lock myself out of the router *G*.
DON'T SET SECURITY UP THROUGH THE WIZARD!!!! Theres a minor glitch or 2 that makes you hard boot the router to get back in. But 3g tech support helped me resolve that quickly.
Anyway. I set up the router facing out a second floor window. I get a solid signal anywhere in the house including the basement where my computer is.
Interface is very easy to use and by default to access the internet you need a password so there is a little security to start with.
Follow the quick start guide and you'll be up and running in no time!
Signal strength is a bit of a challenege to find out. But not sure if it's reliable in that no matter where I checked in my house it says I was getting a full signal when I know for a fact my modem never gets more then 2 bars. |

Ordered Monday. Told it would ship Wednesday. Received on Thursday. Turned it on at 6:30pm and was on the net about 6:35pm. Works great. Seems to have some nice features, and I'm excited about the range of the n wireless. Now if I could just wrestle about $2000 away from the moths for a new laptop...
