kcp480 and PRL update

I did a PRL update to my kcp680 (from 40007 to 40029) on my card lastnight and everything seemed fine. however, when I headed out to work this morning i took my laptop because i wanted to see what local areas had EVDO signal. QLM never detected any evdo, all i saw was "1X" in areas that a few days earlier had a great "DO" connection.

i downgraded back to 40007, and now i have DO again. i then upgraded to 40023 and still i have DO. was this an issue of botched PRL update, or is there something wrong with the PRL i downloaded?

It could be just a coincidence. Shortly after I got my service Alltel pushed a new PRL to my card. Just as the update finished I lost DO. I thought for sure the new PRL was the problem but it wasn't -- once the site was back up everything was fine. My connection has been goofy a lot lately, so I wonder if it was just a coincidence for you, too, even though it was all over town.

Where did you get the PRL from -- corolada.com/prl ? If so I'd try downloading again and re-installing. Then again, no harm running an older PRL if it works for you...
