desktop vs. laptop speeds?

pc dl=123, lap dl=600 same starcom um150

I am not sharing/routing/thethering. I am removing the usb from one to other. (Until I get the $ to buy the gear)

Obviously my corporate issued Compaq PC needs some tweaking. How do I get it remotely close to what the laptop is getting? > I have admin rights on the company pc... But I am clueless where to start. I have already used drtcp to change the receive to 128480

Why such a difference b/w the desktop tower and the laptop? What should I do?

My Home Office (paycheck) is dependant on the desktop tower. Yikes.

delta, is it possible that where you have the desktop the signal really sucks, compared to where you are testing with laptop?

check this article about how to read RSSI, and get back to us about signal during the laptop/desktop testing.
