I have Alltel service and use CTR-350 with amp and Wilson antenna. I get RSSI around 82.
I have following 3G PDF for gaming setup. However, I am getting constant disconnects when playing online.
My connection keeps dropping from the game servers. I have tried both wireless and LAN connections.
Any pointers to reduce/eliminate this? |

Is your Alltel card dropping the EVDO connection when this happens? Check to see if your computer is able to browse the web when these drops occur.
Also try a speed-test at www.speedtest.net , see what your ping is. Some game servers may kick you off if your ping is too high. |

Just happened to me again!
No, I am not losing internet connection when this happens. My pings are typicaly 175 - 225.
This is very frustrating. I have spend a good chunck of money on this EVDO setup, primarly for gaming, and I disconnect (from the game server or lose connection to my opponent) over 65% of the time.
Game played most often is NCAA Football. Gameplay is very good, if I can maintain a stable connection. |

Are you using the ethernet or wireless on your PS3. What's the distance if you're on wireless?
Can you give us some more details as to the exact setup so we can get some more insight. |

I have tried both wirless and lan.
When wireless, the distance is around 36' and PS3 indicates signal strength of 67 - 75%.
When using LAN connection, I am using a 50' cable. |
