|

| Does the cradlepoint (or any router for that matter) offer the ability to display what network (EVDO vs RTT) is being used? I would find this bit of diagnostic info quite handy as I roam around pysical locations quite often, and have to keep an eye on the ping times and throughput to divine which network I'm on in areas where the EVDO signal sometimes drops below the RTT and the KPC650 in my KR1 switches between the two networks. I would assume this is a device driver level control, but as the verizon sofware can display this info, I assume it is available from the particular interface devices being used by the routers. |

None of the current routers indicate which network the aircard is connected to. Currently the only way of determining this is to directly connect your AirCard to your computer and run the Sprint or Verizon Access Manager software.
You can always do a speed test at http://www.speedtest.net
If your download is >144kbps = 1xRTT
If your download is <150-200kbps+ = EVDO |

| Thanks for the reply, it is what I figured. I'm sure it wouldn't make any priority list, it is just a personal annoyance of mine =) |

Ooops, you inadvertently got that backwards...
If your download is <144kbps = 1xRTT
If your download is >150-200kbps+ = EVDO
Though it is possible to get <144Kbps while in EVDO, it's not likely unless you have a very poor signal or if there are service issues. |
