Any of you Air heads taken you Air outdoors and can comment on the readability of the screen.

I have found the matte surface of older books unreadable in some instances while the glossy tends to be quite readable. How about the Air.

The MBA has the most readable LCD screen of any notebook I've tried outside. I agree that matte is useless outside. I don't know why some people say they want matte for sunlight, the glossy is far more readable.

I bought the 3G Routers, but ultimately I needed an internal EVDO card! I ended up removing the Airport/BT Card from my Air and installed/rewired an EVDO Card. Best Part? My USB Port is always free! Wink

We did something similar with a Mac mini a year ago, see:

Current Intel Macs Already Support 3G / EVDO - EVDOinfo.com

Please post some pictures, or email them and we will post them.

Aww, Poor Jack! Wink

I liked Jacks off-topic ramble about the path above the path taken. That was
exactly how I felt when I appeared in an Apple Store last month, after 10 years out of the business!
Jack, before your MBPro looks fat and ugly again, think back to the days of LaserWriters and Hypercard databases. If that doesn't work, try serial hdd's and MacSnap SCSI interfaces for the Mac 256.

Purchased an MBPro in March and have since returned it because of crashes and OSX 10.5 stability problems. The MBPro seemed no more intuitive or stabile than my G4-400 with OS9 from years ago (MBPro has nice screen and k.b. though).
After getting full credit back within 14 days of MBPro purchase, I went right down and picked up this Sony Vaio SZ750 with embedded Sprint EVDO (has rubber duckie evdo antenna). Pocketed the $200 savings too. 2GB of ram is a stretch for out of the box Vista Business so I used the included XP Pro installer to get full use of my flat-bed scanner again plus other application/doc migrations from another one of my older XP Pro PC's.
Microsoft must have seen the Apple advertisements because unlike the MBPro, my stuff now, just works!

I will NOT be drawn into a cross platform discussion by someone who cannot get a MacBook Pro to work... Evil or Very Mad

Tried loading all of your 9 year old initis and software did you?

Anyway, I have been running XP on my MacBook Pro to link with a clients PC progs over the internet.

Supposedly VMWare is supposed to share the Mac's EVDO connection but I am NOT going to mess with XPs settings that I have working.

Instead I am going to buy the CP something something and use wifi.

Everybody off the phones. I am gonna call...
