ok where i just am in the process of moving i get a decent evdo connection. it goes to 500kbps down. then jerks up and fluctuates between 400-700 then steadies around 800 kbps

with a -80dbm to a -90 dbm is there any (cheap) anteanna that might hepl? i looked up my area and the avareage evdo speed is 900-`1100 down with 110 up evdo rev 0............

i just need something to boost my dbm's becaue it wants to revert to a -79.99999.999 dbm 1XRTT network with a paltry 40-90 kbps down......

also on another note. is there any evdo router that would work with this pcmia card? its already actiated. ( of course and i run quick link mobile. )
i am thinking about getting a mac and donw want to re extend my contract for a usb modem......

even a wired router would be great because ill set it on my desk with a wireless router talking to that router( unless thats to prickly) (((but if a wired only model would be cheaper i wouldnt mind))))

and my pings right now are 500-777

There are currently no known routers that are compatible with the Huawei cards.

That's a good find bob. 3GStore sells the MB6800 but on their compatibility chart they don't show the Huawei card as being compatible. You might want to contact them and see what they say. Top Global certainly show it as being compatible. That's cool. That is apparently the mac-daddy of EVDO routers.

We have found with Top Global that we need to actually test cards that they list as being compatible. We have been bitten many times in the past by just posting the Top Global compatibility chart and found out that it was not correct (or that specific listed cards were actually never tested).
