my router is limiting torrent speeds.. can anyone help???

i m new to evdo.. in my locality we haveonly 1000 evdo connections.. i m using the zte ac8700 router.. i m offered 2 mbps speed, but i actually the best speed that i have got so far is 500 kbps download.. but when i use torrents my speed is pathetic.. i get only around 15 KBps.. when downloading from rapidshare i get around 60 KBps.. can anyone advise me how to increase my speed??? will shared ip cause low speeds.. i m living 3 kms far from the tower and i get 3 signals at my home out of four.. will using any software help my cause?? can i do port forwarding on this router?? please advice...

If you're connecting through a router, and you don't have a port for your torrent program forwarded, then that is most likely your problem. I'm not familiar with the ZTE AC8700 router, but Portforward.com has guides for many individual routers on how to forward ports. Check out the link below and see if your router is in the list. If not, maybe one of the other ZTE routers will be close enough for you to figure it out on your particular model.

and buy the dang music then watch it load amazingly fast
