|
|
Got a V620 yesterday before heading on the road. Did a quick test in Philly and Broadband was good. Now in Denver (for 3 hrs) and nationwide is performing worse than Quick 2 Net. Yikes. Isn't this for travellers? Can't the get the Denver Airport - one of the highest volume hubs - set up Broadband. And why is Nationwide so horrible here? (2-3 bars). Is it normal that Quick2 is faster (currently downloading Dormant Killer at a wopping 2.3k).

I ran into the same thing in DC. I didn't think about it until I got back home but had I "refreshed networks", I wonder if it would have added the DC towers to my setup?
I'm gointg to Newark Tuesday and I'll try it as is and then refresh networks to see if it makes any difference, logically, it should.

I also had very crappy service in Reagan National airport in D.C. - what's funny is that I have a 620 card, and I was getting like 20k download speed, but a guy sitting *right next to me* who had the older version card (with the flip up antenna), was getting like 300-400k d/l speeds! Both of us were testing against the same test site (dslreports.com).
Go figure! |

| How do you do an update if all you have is the Verizon AccessManager? I saw the destructions for the older piece of software, but not this new applications that ships with the V620 |
