Verizon UM150 USB Modem with Asus Wl-500g Premium

This may help to people with need to setup router with WAN connection via Verizon USB UM150 modem.

You need to download latest modified fimware for WL-500gP from
[url]koppel.cz/cdmawifi/download/167/WL500gp-1.9.2.7-8-USB-1.67.trx[/url]

For upgrade just use regular procedure as described in manual - via config page.

After upgrade you will see one more menu - USB Connection (Dial-Up)
- in Connection Mode - set Dial-Up
- in Dial-Up - set following:
Username: xxxxxxx@verizon.com (xxx=your phone number for modem)
Password: leave blank
Dial-Up Number: #777
Custom USB Parameters
USB device Vendor ID (0xabcd): 0x106c
USB device Product ID (0xefgh): 0x3711

Then click to Finish or Apply to save changes. Configure rest of the router as necessary.

I would like to learn more about this router?

Do you plug your um150 right into the usb port? or to computer
and then to cat5 into the router?
Is the info you have given for the firmware setup of the Router?
