I have a Lenovo x61s but made the mistake of not buying it with the Wan card built in. I can buy the Sierra Wireless MC5725 Mini PCI-E Verizon card to put in the laptops but I am wondering where I can buy a similar internal antenna to the Lenovo version. Spending $60 on an antenna from Lenovo seems outrageous and excessive. Is there any other type of internal antenna I can use and where can I get one at a decent price. Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure where you can find one of those, but you may want to read the following article before purchasing an embedded card. (Especially if its not already built-in)

Just a tip! Wink

I agree that for a new account one should purchase an EVDO card on their own then do an ESN swap to the embedded device.

For me, I always make sure my laptops are under manf. service plans for the expected life; normally 3-4 years. That way, if something fails there is not need/opportunity to point fingers. They either fix it over the phone or roll a tech to fix it for me. Or, they send me a new computer Smile
