I am trying to connect a new Dell Latitude laptop with a Dell 5720 VZW (EVDO Rev-A) mobile card to our network using the sonicwall GVC. Any interface other than the VZW card such as WIFI or ethernet cable work fine when connecting and mapping drives over the internet using GVC. However with the Verizon Wireless connection, all I can do is ping our server and strangely I have no problem connecting to remote desktop. When attempting to map a drive on the laptop using the mobile broadband I get the error message "The network location cannot be reached." almost as if I never was within reach of the server even though I can ping it and RDP! I have Netbios enabled on our VPN so I don't believe that is the problem. Numerous calls to Sonicwall support have left me with nothing. Any suggestions would be VERY appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help that might be offered. I'm running Vista.
