This is a big step towards my ultimate phone.

Now the only question in my mind is.... Can I receive calls while I'm surfing
What phones give the best performance.... I guess the mogul is one of the better phones for this, since it will soon support Rev A and it has WiFi.... |

I was reading about the bluetooth/USB based internet connection sharing that is available through WM6, and now this WiFi router app. is another cool tool.
What kind of battery life does one get using the mogul in this manner?

Well, I got this up and running on my new Mogul... a few comments:
No security... ie no WEP... and you can't change the network name from the default "WMWiFiRouter" as far as I can tell.
If you have previously had your Mogul associated with a WiFi Access point that's in range (like one at home), and you try to use WMWiFiRouter (just testing at home), WMWiFiRouter associates with your home router automatically, and things don't work right...
I played with it while sitting with some friends at a bar in midtown manhattan and it worked nicely... was able to watch NetFlix on Demand smoothly on my Fujitsu u810 UMPC . |
