|
|
This has happened twice in the last 4 months, just a warning to others.
We call Sprint to do an "ESN Swap". The operator on the other end of the phone screws up the account - we don't find out about it until the next bill comes.
First time, the Sprint operator terminated our account and started a new one, so there was an extra $200 charge (for termininating the account). An hour call to Sprint fixed that.
Today, it happened again.
We see a "Data Overage" charge of $249 on our current Sprint bill (there are 7 data cards on the one business account). How can there be a data overage charge on an unlimited data plan? We find out when we did an ESN swap 45 days ago, the Sprint rep changed our account from unlimited to the megabyte plan, huh? All we did was call to do an ESN Swap. 90 minutes later, that problem is now fixed
So here is our advice -- when you call Sprint to do an ESN Swap make sure you tell the rep you DO NOT WANT to change anything else on your account. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier

| It's one of those things where providers and even retailers do. I don't know the exact terminology of it, but it's more or less, "We don't have to ask your permission to do it, but you have to tell us if you DON'T want to do it." Almost like an unspoken implication. |

| You can also do the esn swap online and I would highly reccomend you do that to avoid problems. |
