Verizon prohibits downloading music, connecting laptops, etc

Great thread ... didn't know my old 6600 was the only Verizon phone that could do that. I never got shut down or slowed up and was happy , even though as a phone it WAS the worst. I just joined the site to find out how to defeat the modem drivers block on the installation disk pf my new XV6900. I used the phone for over a month, while I waited for my new Alienware laptop, and can't return it now !!! I'd of bought a used 6600 from ebay. So the old modems and drivers lost on my drowned phone and fried laptop wouldn't work??? If there is anyway to enable my 6900 please let me know ... I don't use much bandwith, but need the BIG display from the laptop's 17" display. Just visited a motorcycle I bought on ebay and saw damage that wasn't noticeable on that phone display !!! As a phone the 6900 pretty cool.
