|
|
I just bought a Franklin CDU-680 and CTR-350 router and I have high speed service to my laptop (macbook). I am looking for a way to connect this high speed service to my existing network using my wireless router. I have another computer and a Color Laser printer on the network. Is there any ESY way to get the wireless router on my network to communicate with the CTR-350??

There have been a whole bunch of requests for CradlePoint to make the CTR350's ethernet port be LAN and WAN capable. So keep your eyes peeled to see if there is any news on that.
Otherwise, you could use something like a wireless-to-ethernet bridge to convert it to ethernet, then you can use a switch, another router, whatever.
Hope that helps. |

| Why not just get a wireless network adapter and plug it into your other computer and connect to the CTR-350? You could then just hook the printer to that computer and you're all set. |

| I was thinking of that but since I already have 2 wireless routers that are being used I was hoping to find a way to use one of them as a pseudo WI-Fi card. |

I've wondered the same thing. I think the answer is that it depends on whether your wireless router can be configured as a wireless bridge. In my case, my old wireless router couldn't be used in that manner. So I bought a Buffalo wireless ethernet converter. -- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833162168
Works great. Followed the installation instructions, and had it hooked up to my CTR350 in 15 minutes. No problems with setting up WPA security, either. |
